Crafts

A few of the things I've made/modified. Mostly dreamcatchers are on this page!

Bone Choker with Leaf Pendant
The third(?) bone choker I've made, featuring white and amber hairpipe and magenta wood beads, with black leather and a leafshaped stone pendant.

Dreamcatcher: Green Leather & Red Feathers
We needed gifts for an event, so I put together this dreamcatcher, based on the previous purple dreamcatcher.
Bone Choker
Thanks to my friend V for her help on this! Also made for work, this ended up going to a community member who helped make an event possible.
Dreamcatcher: Purple Leather & Peacock Feather
One of the first things I did for my job! This was given to one of the tribal council members that visited the workplace.
Pinchpots!
Some little clay pinchpots I made at a Native craft night which are probably no more than 2 inches in any direction. They're not too much to look at, but it was fun making them.
Painted Bowl
A bowl I painted at a local pottery place. Very much fun! Unfortunately, the pictures do not do it justice.
Dreamcatchers: Minatures
Here we have the little ones. They're not particularly impressive, but I rather like making minature things. The diameters of the dreamcatchers are under an inch.
Small Dreamcatcher
Another experimentation. This one has an earthy color scheme.
Dreamcatcher: Pink & White
A 3-inch hoop supports the silver web on this dreamcatcher, while white deerskin encompasses it. Some of the feathers are pink, as are some of the beads. Bone beads also hang on the strands. The main color scheme is pink and white, which makes the dreamcatcher somewhat unusual.
Dreamcatcher with cockatiel feathers
White deerskin wraps and drapes from the 3-inch hoop. The web was made with gold embroidery floss, and the feathers are from my pet cockatiel. Some of the beads are made from bone, I think. Keeping company with a little feather, a cross charm hangs in the center. More feathers were added to this dreamcatcher before it became as a going-away gift to a family friend.
Dreamcatcher: Black & Red
This dreamcatcher is also built on a 3-inch hoop. Black suede, red and black pony beads, red feathers, silver embroidery thread, and a little cross were all used to produce this.
Turquoise Suede Dreamcatcher
The main color scheme on this little native piece is turquoise. The web is silver, and a silver cross charm hangs from the center. The dreamcatcher is wrapped in suede.
Black & White Dreamcatcher
Black suede was used to wrap the dreamcatcher, white embroidery thread was used for the web, and black and white pony beads and white feathers decorate the suede strands.
Early Dreamcatcher
This large dreamcatcher was made the same year as the first dreamcatcher, I believe. Other dreamcatchers have been sold and given away, but this one has managed to stick around after all these years.
Natural Colored Dreamcatcher
This is an older dreamcatcher as well. I like those turquoise feathers.
Bottled Sand Design
I've put sand in many different bottles and containers, and this is one instance in which it turned out particulary well.
First Dreamcatcher
Ah, my first dreamcatcher! I think I was 11 or younger when I made it. I found a washer in the backyard near some auto stuff, and decided to use it in the making of a dreamcatcher. It's a humble beginning.
